Andrea Martino, Francesco María Raimondo

Open full text 26 citations

Abstract

Summary The authors present a synthesis of the multiple floristic aspects of the Sicilian district. After considering the state of floristic knowledge of the territory, a study is made of the geoclimatic characteristics and the biological and chorological aspects of the flora are treated at length. The complete list of the endemic contigent is presented—compiled on the basis of Flora d'ltalia by PIGNATTI (in press)—which in turn is divided in accordance with the regional floristic subdivision of GIACOMINI (1958).
