Abstract

The fusion of protoplasts isolated from leaves of Catharanthus roseus and Nicotiana glauca with protoplasts from Haplopappus gracilis cell cultures resulted in heavy precipitation of granules in vacuoles of the fusion products. The occurrence of this precipitate is seen as an indication that subsequent to protoplast fusion cell sap vacuoles fuse also.
