Abstract

The abilities of thidiazuron (TDZ) for induction of somatic embryogenesis in immature embryos of common oak (Q. robur L.) are studied. The substance showed high inductive potential, being able to start the process even used in low concentrations (0.045–0.45 μM). Statistically insignificant effects of the different doses and exposure treatments used on the initial embryogenic reaction of the explants were registered.
