Abstract
The solubility of the three paraffins octacosane, dotriacontane and hexatriacontane in each of the two solvents pentane and heptane have been measured in the temperature interval 10–35°C. The results follow with high accuracy a relation of the form lnx2=ΔSd/R–ΔHd/RT. The values of the parameters ΔHd and ΔSd involved in dissolution are given for the six systems.
