Abstract

Reaction of 5-amino-1,3-dimethyl-6-phenylpyr-rolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-diones with lead tetraacetate gave 1,3-dimethyl-5-hydroxy-7-phenylpyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-diones.
