Abstract
One hundred and twelve extractives prepared from 53 medicinal plants were evaluated for molluscicidal activity using three snail vectors, Bulinus globosus. Biomphalaria pfeifferi and Lymnaea natalensis. Thirteen of these plants (24.5%) from 9 families passed the World Health Organization preliminary test for molluscicidal activity. Molluscicidal constituents are surveyed and discussed.
