Abstract

This paper deals with calculation of dipole antenna array's radiation pattern in MATLAB environment. Proposed algorithm was developed according to the ability to calculate the radiation pattern of the array with arbitrary geometrical location of dipole elements. The proposed algorithm takes into account the arbitrary amplitudes and phases of feeding currents and lengths of dipoles elements. Number of the dipole elements can be parametrically changed, too. The mathematical model of such array and its implementation in the MATLAB environment is closely described. The result of the sample array radiation pattern calculation is compared to the result obtained by commercially available software tools for antenna radiation pattern analysis.
