Abstract
High-grade gliomas are the most common primary brain tumor and continue to carry a poor prognosis. Current advances in glioma research have led to small, but significant prolongations in both survival and progression-free survival. This review article discusses current research in the arenas of surgical therapy, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy for gliomas. Also discussed is the role of multidisciplinary brain tumor centers in the care of glioma patients.
