Abstract

16V240ZJ diesel engine is a main internal combustion engine of the diesel locomotive on China mainline railways. In this paper, we use the internal combustion engine dynamics simulation software to establish 16V240ZJ diesel engine dynamics virtual prototype and the crank system dynamics modeling. After analysis, there are no significant differences between Simulation results and the experimental data. Analyzing different structural parameters impact on diesel engine crank torsional vibration can offers a reference for improvement of diesel engine design.
