Abstract
Infectious biomedical waste poses various problems of health because it is usually not segregated in developing countries like India and is disposed off along with the municipal solid waste. The quantity of infectious generated waste is small when compared with total biomedical waste generated as reported by various research institutions of medical sciences. This work involves the estimation of infectious biomedical waste for the study area, which is Allahabad city. The projection of infectious biomedical waste has been done for 25 years and its disposal issues have been discussed.
