Abstract

It is shown that cerium and yttrium rare earth oxalates, when crystallized with calcium oxalate, can be isolated only by double precipitation. Sodium p-aminosalioylate is suggested for the separation of thorium from rare earths. A method for isolating rare earths from minerals is developed. (auth)
