Abstract

Prompt fission neutron spectra from thermal fission of the fuel elements 233U, 235U, 234Pu were studied in the low energy range. Fission fragments were detected by gas scintillation, whereas the neutrons were recorded by 6Li glass detector in a time of flight system. The neutron spectrum from 252Cf spontaneous fission was measured simultaneously as a reference.
