Abstract
We present radio continuum maps at 2325 and 1644 MHz of a new large-diameter supernova remnant (SNR) centred on |$l=279^\circ.0, \enspace b=+1^\circ.1$|. The angular diameter of the SNR shell is 1°.6, and the estimated linear diameter is 84 pc. These new observations are compared with other radio and optical data. It would appear that no optical emission has been detected which is associated with the radio source.
