Abstract
The a–d ridge count among 3 endogamous groups of Mysore Brahman in south India is reported. The values indicate that the differences in total ridge count between the Brahman groups are not significant. No significant sex differences were found. Compared to other Indian groups, Mysore Brahman shows the lowest mean total ridge count. The study reveals some common trends with respect to a–d ridge count in all the 5 Indian population groups compared.
