Abstract Type material of three species of Stigmodera Eschscholtz, transferred from the collection of the late A. Gemmell to the Australian National Insect Collection, Canberra, comprises the holotype and one paratype of S. gemmelli Deuquet and of S. rutila Deuquet, and two syntypes of S. violatra Deuquet, of which the male specimen is designated the lectotype.
