Abstract
Growing concern around the possible threat of climate change - induced by carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion - has brought a raft of potential solutions, many of which involve carbon sequestration. Carbon dioxide sequestration is the capture of carbon dioxide gas - before it enters the atmosphere - and its storage in geological formations or marine waters. This article examines in detail the three phases of such a project: capture, transportation and injecting the carbon dioxide into storage reservoirs.
