Abstract

Streaming media refers to the media format transmitted on the Internet by the way of streaming transmission; its appearance provides new means for video and audio publishing and transmitting on the Internet. Developing network course based on the streaming media solves the problem of continuous and quickly playing teaching videos and audios on Internet to serve for online learning. This paper talked about the network course and the advantage of using streaming media technology in network course, and conducted comparative analysis on several streaming video formats, then provided strategies of how to select streaming media in developing network course.
