Abstract

Abstract β-Alkoxy ketones are synthesized in good yields by the reaction of alkyl enol ethers with acetals in the presence of a catalytic amount of trityl salts. Of enol ethers, methoxymethyl (MOM) enol ether exhibits an enhanced reactivity as a nucleophile.
