Abstract
This paper is a study on radio interference undertaken to determine the possibility of coexistence for the European-enabled broadcast service DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting -Second Generation Terrestrial), a primary first user in TV white space, and IMT-Advanced LTE-based WSD (White Space Device) installed with spectrum cognitive function. To this end, a variety of transmission parameters were applied to both services, such as emission/blocking mask, antenna height and gains, transmission power and bandwidth, and channel models for communication link. In addition, analysis was performed on allowable transmission power and quantities of WSD capable of operating on DVB-T2 adjacent channels.
