Abstract

Pulvinia epiphytica, a new genus and species (Rhodophyta, Cryptonemiales?) is described. New species also described are: Cruoriopsis aestuarii (Rhodophyta, Gigartinales) and Colacodasya californica (Rhodophyta, Ceramiales). Myrionema attenuata var. trichophora is a new variety (Phaeophyta, Chordariales). New combinations made are: Pterosiphonia clevelandii; Herposiphonia plumula; Herposiphonia plumula var. parva (Rhodophyta, Ceramiales); and Feldmannia irregularis (Phaeophyta, Ectocarpales), a new record for California. Gemmae-like structures are reported for Fosliella (Rhodophyta, Cryptonemiales). Chondria secundata is excluded from the California algal flora.
