Open publisher page 108 citations

Abstract

A fairly simple procedure for isolating lactose synthetase A protein from human milk in 36% yield is described. The A protein has a molecular weight of about 40,000. Its interaction with alpha-lactalbumin in the presence of N-acetylglucosamine has been demonstrated by affinity chromatography and gel filtration.
