Abstract
The boost of water hammer within the Pressure pipe is an important factor that related to the safety of water supply. The effects of water hammer boost trend due to water hammer wave velocity within pipes made of different materials are an important issue to be considered in the calculation of water hammer protection. In this paper based on the wave velocity analysis of common pipes used in projects and combined with examples we had calculated the water hydraulic transient under different wave velocities. Finally, after analysing our results we had made corresponded conclusions for the references of engineering technicians.
