Abstract
It is indicated that irradiation of the exteriorized circulating blood of rabbits produces both quantitative and qualitative changes in their serum proteins. The radiation appears to enhance the quantitative changes resulting from the operative procedures. The qualitative changes were noted in the experimental group during the first through the fourth day after irradiation in the form of an additional fraction, 6', in the starch-gel electrophoresis. The relationship between the results of this study and those of whole-body irradiation is discussed. (auth)
