For pt. II, see abstr. A36134 of 1974. Shell-model calculations have been performed for 25 Na, 25 Al and 25 Mg including all possible sd shell configurations. The two-body interactions of Kuo and Preedom and Wildenthal were employed. The latter gives good agreement with experimental spectra and electromagnetic transition rates in all cases, but the Kuo interaction produces shifts of whole rotational bands in 25 Mg and 25 Al. Agreement with data within bands, however, is reasonable. The structure of the three nuclei is discussed in the light of these calculations.
