Assay of Promazine and Its Separation from Chlorpromazine and Promethazine

Abstract

Abstract A colorimetrie method is described to identify and quantitatively determine promazine, in pharmaceutical preparations. The method is applicable to promazine and promethazine mixtures, and promazine and chlorpromazine in mixtures. With a second colorimetric method promethazine or promethazine in the presence of the other two substances can be determined.
