The Preloading Soft Subgrade's Calculation Of Consolidation Degree Considering Creep by ABAQUS

Abstract

This paper computed the consolidation degree by ABAQUS which consider the characteristics of soft soil creep on the basis of an urban expressway soft soil subgrade project. And also calculated the consolidation degrees of soft foundation in accordance with Three-dimensional consolidation theory and measured pore pressure, Afterwards, compared them. The results shows that the consolidation degree which considering creep is more closer to measured pore pressure, its accuracy is higher. If considering creep, the excess pore water pressure dissipation time become longer and the deformation of soft clay foundation will increase accordingly. This is more grounded in reality project. So, the numericial analysis which considering creep is a simple and accurate method to calculates the soft soil's consolidation degree.
