Abstract

The diode end-pumped Yb:YAG ceramic laser with high efficiency and high-power was demonstrated. The 5.5-W cw output power was obtained with the slope efficiency of 52%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest efficiency of Yb:YAG ceramic laser.
