Abstract

It is widely regarded that evaluation is a complex systematic project, which involving many aspects of the process in technological innovation, epically for the pharmaceutical sector. Based on 18 original-designing indicators and the Factor analysis, the paper evaluates the stage differences of continuous innovation abilities in Chinese hinterland provinces' biotechnology industry. And then it originally divides the involved provinces into eight categories. Research finding indicates that each category significantly represents the different level on the regional innovation capability. The study lays stress on the question that deserves attention is uneven regional development in biotech industry. Implications from this research can be used as references to policy makers and business companies in china.
