An observational trial was carried out on sprinkler irrigated ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.)/white clover (Trifolium repens L.) pasture, which also contained some cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) and Poa trivialis L., to compare the response to P, K, and N under mowing with removal of herbage and under sheep grazing with little or no transfer of fertility.
