Abstract

Abstract The Raman spectra of conductive polyacetylene-iodine complexes and their parent polymers have been studied. The trans-rich polyacetylene film contains trans segments of various lengths while the cis-rich polyacetylene film is composed of relatively long cis sequences. The doped iodine takes either the form of (I3−)x or I5−.
