A rapid method was developed for the determination of /sup 137/Cs and / sup 90/Sr in fallout by ion exchange. The procedure is described. The analysis was carried out by using an artificial fallout solution containing labeled cesium and strontium. The recovery was 98 plus or minus 4% for Sr and 99 plus or minus 3% for Cs. Agreement with results of other methods was satisfactory. (P.C.H.)
