Abstract
This letter provides an explicit and constructive test of QCD by comparing it with an alternative theory that has the same attributes of asymptotic freedom and chiral symmetry and further becomes congruent with QCD at leading order in the uv. Presently, it can be distinguished from QCD, on extending these theories to the full electroweak theory, only by the Z particle width.
