Abstract
Bioaccumulation of cadmium and zinc in an estuarine system has been studied. Concentration of these metals in the water and sediment phases have been compared with that in the clam, Villorita cyprinoides var. Cochinenses. Bioconcentration Ratio, BCR, and Metal Pardoning Ratio, MPR have been defined as typical biological and environmental factor that regulate aqueous metal bioavailability.
