Abstract
The isotopic ratio of Th232 to Th230 was determined in uranium minerals. The thorium was separated from the mineral. The amount of Th232 was determined by activation analysis and that of Th230 by counting its a particles. The ratio of the two isotopes was calculated by comparing the β and α activity of the two thorium isotopes in the sample to those of a standard of known Th232 to Th230 ratio.
