Abstract

: The geological map is founded on the National Mapping or Royal Australian Survey Corps 1:250 000 base to which the Bureau's geologist adds geological detail through lield mapping and airphoto interpretation. The cartographer's role, how he prepares the First Edition map from the data supplied, is described. (Sample map see inside back cover).
