Abstract

In Brief Intravitreal triamcinolone injection effectively reduces subretinal fluid in pediatric patients with exudative retinal detachments in severe Coats disease. However, when combined with cryotherapy, a large percentage of patients develop rhegmatogenous retinal detachments with proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
