Abstract
In the ten year period 1955–65 a total of 751 stapes operations for otosclerosis were performed at the University Ear Clinic, Copenhagen. Of these 373 were direct mobilizations a.m. Fowler and 301 stapedectomies with the Schuknecht technique. A review is given of the results.
