Abstract
Abstract A new method for construction of nonpermanent cranial endocasts is described. Endocasts are constructed using skulls from which skullcaps were removed at necropsy and retained. The endocasting medium is dissolved gelatin, which is biodegradable and water soluble, allowing recovery of the endocast with no permanent alteration of the skull. These endocasts are suitable for estimating brain weights and evaluating gross brain morphology.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
