Abstract
There are inevitable errors which are caused by the interference in the channel of ATM transfer system. In order to improve the reliability of information transmission we usually choose cyclic redundancy code to detect the errors in the process of transmission. ATM exchange system adopts the CRC to detect the errors in the cell header. Based on introducing the elementary method of generating CRC, this paper analyses the process of detecting the errors in the cell header of ATM system in detail.
