Study on Assembly Design Approach Based on Synchronous Modeling Technology

Abstract

With the increase demand for product diversity, the best way is to shorten design cycle of product and improve design efficiency. This paper presents an assembly design method of product by means of the use of Solid Edge ST4 3D synchronous modeling technology. In this paper, an industrial manipulator was studied as an example, which was used to account for the design process of assembly design based on synchronous technology and the characteristic of this design method. In the process of design, intelligent assembly technology, top-down assembly technology and synchronous assembly technology are combined with the design of industrial manipulator. The results show that this assembly design method is more convenience to modify design model, can greatly improve design efficiency and accuracy and reduce the iterative design process of similar model, thus greatly improve the product quality.
