Abstract
Abstract A method is described by which it is possible to determine sulphuric acid and nitric acid in one single conductometric titration. It is based on the principle of reducing the H˙‐ions concentrations by adding an excess of an alkali salt of a moderately strong acid in such a way as to cause the SO4″‐ion effect to become visible besides the H˙‐effect, without impairing in any way the determination of the sum of both acids together. A procedure is described in which sodium monochloroacetate is used to this end.
