Abstract
Variogram as an important mathematical model of Kriging can effectively describe the features of the variants in some districts of ore deposit. This paper presents a isoline drawing method which uses genetic algorithm (GA) to estimate the Kriging variogram parameters. This method called GA-based Kriging was compared to ordinary Kriging. The isolines interpolated by GA-based Kriging are of higher precision and smaller error. GA-based Kriging provides a good tool for engineering application.
