Abstract

Soybean polysaccharides were fractionated by using water, ammonium oxalate, and 0.2, 5, and 15%, sodium hydroxide solutions as successive extracting agents. Fucose, rhamnose, xylose, arabinose, galactose, and galacturonic acid were identified in hemicelluloses purified through copper-complex formation by paper and column chromatographics and crystalline derivatives.
