Abstract
In this paper, combined with current situation of the urban architecture, the convergence and the reasons in contemporary urban architecture were analyzed. The clash between traditional culture and the modern architecture and how to deal with the clash in contemporary urban architecture have been discussed. In order to promote the originality of architectural creation and the diversity of urban appearance, some practical suggestions to the future urban planning and architectural creation have been proposed.
