Abstract
Abstract The interaction MnO3F with HF and HCI was studied by means of matrix‐isolation infrared spectroscopy. Gaseous MnO3F reacts with HCl forming MnO3Cl; some evidence for the probable existence of MnO3FHF complexes is also presented. Isotopic data (35/37Cl) obtained from matrix‐isolation spectra unknown fundamentals (from the spectrum of the solid substance) as well as a vibrational analysis are reported for MnO3Cl.
