Abstract

The genus Psilomorpha Saunders is revised. One new species from North Queensland, P. nigra, is described, and the type species, P. tenuipes Saunders, is redescribed. Five species formerly of the genus Aphiorhynchus Lacordaire [P. apicalis Pascoe, P. divisus (Pascoe), comb. nov., P. maculicornis (Saunders), comb. nov., P. marginalis (Aurivillius), comb. nov. and P. pulchra (Hope), comb. nov.] are assigned or returned to Psilomorpha. Aphiorhynchus is designated as a new synonym of Psilomorpha, and A. versicolor McKeown as a new synomym of P. marginalis (Aurivillius).
