Abstract
The data center has an increasingly serious energy consumption problem. This paper analyzes the structure of energy consumption of data center, including IT equipment, air conditioning, ventilation, UPS, lighting, etc. In addition to IT equipment, the energy consumption of air conditioning system accounts for a larger proportion of the total energy consumption. From the further energy-saving study of air conditioning system, this paper puts forward a new approach which uses the natural cold source to save energy according to temperature changes of different seasons. Finally, it verifies the energy-saving effect of air conditioning system in the climate of northern China.
