Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to update our original Kansas Hugoton infill drilling studies. This paper examines the performance of the first 1513 infill wells placed on production through September 1992 and presents a number of infill well case histories. Official deliverability tests, production histories and completion data are used to evaluate infill well performance. The case histories review the performance of the older infill wells which shows the greatest potential of finding additional gas-in-place (GIP). These results indicate the infill wells have not found any additional GIP.
