Abstract
The huge amount of throughput of high speed TCP is based on serious influence of traditional TCP, caused by its natural design defects. It is possible that the high speed TCP and traditional TCPshare the same high speed connection in the application of high speed TCP. The balance of high speed TCP and traditional TCP will get worse with the improvement of sharing bandwidth. This paper studies the theory of high speed TCP congestion control algorithm and analyses the fairness of them. It modified the improving speed of TCP congestion window dynamically with bandwidth of bottleneck connection. It classified the improvement of congestion window to high speed TCP model and traditional TCP model and switch between with them based on the changing trend of RTT. The paper brings forward an enhanced high speed TCP congestion control algorithm and testifies it.
