Abstract
This review considers the latest information on the epidemiology, etiology, and treatment of infectious diarrheal diseases of children. Also included is a discussion of some recent findings on gastrointestinal infections in children with the human immunodeficiency virus infection. Finally, preventive measures, namely new developments with enteric vaccines, are reviewed.
